Welcome to N7NB.com!
For years I've admired the guys who have Web sites. I like to read about other hams' work in restoring vintage gear, their on-air activities, their articles, and anything else of general interest. It wasn't until my XYL took a Web design class that the goal of having a site became a reality. Now I don't dare talk about any activity I don't want to wind up on my site! (Just kidding!)
Field Day Successful!
This lovely image of an antenna was manipulated in Photoshop using the "glowing edges" filter under "stylize". It's the image used as the body background. I included it here so people who use narrow monitors would have the chance to enjoy it.
I'm not a 24-hour gung-ho contester. So I don't expect to place in the highest echelon of Field Day results. I was quite pleased, though, to note that I was in the top 10-15%.
Neat gear
Earlier this year, I glommed on to a National HRO-500 in excellent condition. It looks like this rig has never been used. The only negative effects seem to have arisen from age. Repairing and restoring it is an adventure because apparently National didn't think the rig would ever need repairs! Of course, the details will be on this site as soon as work is complete.
